Meet Dylan.

Hi I’m Dylan, an ISA-Certified Arborist, licensed in Rhode Island. I’m a lover of dogs, music and my family.

After earning a BA in English at Earlham College in Indiana, I spent 2 years working for TF Morra Tree Care in Providence, RI where I first caught the tree bug.

The following decade I toured as a drummer in a folk rock band, harvested and delivered oysters through my home state of Rhode Island and worked in early childhood education. But for me, all roads lead to trees and I re-entered the field in 2019 as an apprentice to Whipple Tree Experts.

When I'm not swinging about the canopy you can find me playing jazz with Paper Moon Jazz Band.

  • The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) is an internationally recognized accrediting body that promotes the highest standards of care and work practices in modern arboriculture.

    Certified Arborists are individuals who have achieved a level of knowledge in the art and science of tree care through experience and by passing a comprehensive examination developed by some of the nation’s leading experts on tree care.

    Certified Arborists must also continue their education to maintain their certification and adhere to a Code of Ethics.

  • RI Tree Care was founded in 2019 under a different moniker before rebranding in late 2023. Dylan’s personal journey in tree care dates back to 2013.
